Uphill all the way?
Sometimes it can feel like it. You might be having problems with your weight, your health in general, your relationships, your career. It might be the menopause (male or female!), midlife crisis, career, or pending retirement, death of parents, loss of friends, or insomnia – sometimes you need help to see what is going on and to make the necessary adjustments to your life.

You may just feel it is time to take stock and do something positive to improve the way you feel about yourself, restore the confidence you have lost, change your career, do the things you have always put to one side and think you may never get around to.

You could set any or all of this in motion with the Kickstart Programme. Whatever it is that has affected the way you feel, this programme could get you started on the path to achieving some of those goals. 

Kickstart optional add-on
The Kickstart Programme is a stand-alone programme but we also offer it as an optional add-on to any of the three 6-night holidays in southern Spain. This gives us the time and space to work on creating a plan for you, with you and helping you to kickstart it, away from all the distractions of daily life and work.

In addition to the fabulous nutritious food, spectacular walks and energising yoga, we will spend time with you to draw up a plan of action to get to grips with whatever it is that you are having trouble with. But it doesn’t stop there. We will continue to offer you support to work through your plan of action for a further six months.

For the menopausal
For those who are definitely challenged by the menopause,
the Kickstart Programme combines a unique Personal Menopause Survival Plan with a 6-month programme of support, topped up with information about the menopause, exercise and nutrition, and a 90-day journal.

For everyone else
E
ven if the menopause is not your abiding issue, the same principles are employed to draw up your Personal Survival Plan in a way that will work for you. Sensible advice on diet and exercise and tips on how to keep up the momentum are all part of the service!

For both options You receive a copy of The Key – an attractive binder which contains your Personal Survival Plan, a 90-day diary to monitor your progress, useful nutritional information, recipes and links to organisations that might be of interest to you. And you get 6-months of follow-up support.

 

 

 

 

 

The Personal Survival Plan
Following acceptance on the Kickstart Programme, we will arrange for you to have an indepth interview, either in person in Suffolk or London, in Spain on one of the 6-night holidays, on the internet or by phone, to assess your menopausal or other symptoms (and/or discuss other areas of concern) and devise a plan to improve things.

The assessment will be wide-ranging and might encourage you to look at areas of your life that may appear to be nothing to do with the menopause itself.

The programme does not contain medical advice – you should always consult your GP or other health practitioner for this.

Your Personal Survival Plan is based on commonsense recommendations on exercise and good nutrition (geared to your symptoms and circumstances).

The fact that you are looking at this page on the website probably means that you would like help or are confused by the amount of information out there. That's where we come in.

What happens next?
Once your programme has been devised, we offer follow-up support via email for 6 months afterwards. We will give you plenty of encouragement and teach you tips to help you keep to your plan if you start to wobble.

You can also communicate with others and share your own experiences via the Pace of Change message board on our website.
