I have been suffering with the menopause for nearly 4 years, it has ruined my marriage and turned my world upside down. I have tried many things except HRT. My next step is the pace of change holiday which i go on tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Will update on my return.

Hi Wendy. I am dying to hear about your pace of change week. Did it work or was it awful? Hope it worked. I might go next year. It sounds pricey, though, and I don't have much spare money. I have a friend also interested but she doesn't know if it is good value. Your advice appreciated. Thanks.

I went on the holiday/break, and was a little sceptical ie whole load of menopausal women, no alchol, no bread and no caffeine - well talk about surprising myself it was brilliant we all got on extremely well all mixed abilitys (Wendy could have walked for England - she was brilliant) The food was absolutley wonderful the walks were amazing and the yoga (i had never done Iyenga yoga before) was fantastic, the teacher was so attentive and catered for everyones abilities in fact, in all aspects of the break your needs and pace was looked after. I had come of the caffeine the week before - to avoid a 3-4 day headache and as for the alchohol - never needed it, which amazed us all - What else can i say it was brilliant. L

So, I am interested in this menopause holiday thing but why hasn't Wendy posted her views on it? Me and some of my friends really want to know what you thought about it before we decide to book. So please, Wendy, can you help us out?

Midlife crisis? Planning a career change? Battling with the menopause? Relocating? Retirement imminent? Or just need time to think? Learn how exercise and good nutrition can change all these things for the better. Pace of Change – yoga + walking holidays to take the crisis out of midlife.
