Good food for menopause

I know that some foods can worsen the negative symptoms of my menopause but are there any that do the opposite? I have already discovered that coffee seems to make me very hot very soon after drinking it, and tea too. But what foods should I eat to make things better?

Friends have suggested things like tofu and other soya products, which don't sound very appealing. Do they really work and, if so, how can I incorporate them into tasty dishes that the rest of my family won't hate?

Did you see there is now a recipe for carrot cake on this website and that contains tofu. I agree that I have never fancied it, it looks really unappealing. But I have just made the cake and it was delicious.

Anyone got any more that use tofu?
